A couple weekends ago I was blessed by a sprinkle shower for Baby Everett! My mom and sister poured a lot of time and effort into making his party special. There were yummy sweet treats, much-needed baby gifts, and lots of ooohs and aaahs over all the cute baby boy stuff. Boy stuff. Not pink stuff. Weird.

Mom and Sissy made so many treats it was hard to choose between all of them…so I didn’t. 🙂 Calories don’t count at parties anyway. Or on Saturdays.

Lemon. Cake. White Chocolate. Heaven.

Okay, so let’s talk about this cake. The cake of all cakes. Mom handcrafted a 3 layer white cake filled with homemade blackberry pudding and iced with white chocolate buttercream. She seriously makes the best cakes. So moist and full of flavor. If you don’t already add plenty of good vanilla and almond extract to your cakes, you should probably go ahead and start. This preggo could go for a HUGE slice of it right about now. HUGE. She also sugared the fruit to top off the cake. So pretty. Love.

It starts to become very real when you see your baby-to-be’s name in print.

We received so many sweet gifts for Everett. All things that we really, truly need. Such a huge help. I am so thankful for all the sweet ladies that came.

One friend in particular surprised me by showing up…I mean REALLY surprised me! Emily, I cannot thank you enough for venturing all the way from TX with your newborn fella just to come to Everett’s shower. Seriously meant the world to me! Please let me look like you after I have this baby. Lookin’ good Mama!

Ella is practically 16 now which makes me…58? Stop growing up so fast!

Thank you Jess for taking pictures for me! You are the bestest best friend a girl could ask for! So glad we met in the bathroom of the Business & Technology building at NSU. 🙂 Who knew you would be at my baby shower like 10 years later.

So excited for all you pretty ladies to meet Baby Everett! I’m excited to meet him myself! Until that day, I will dream of his face. And another slice of that cake.
