Everett,
Your first few weeks have gone by in a flash. You’ve had lots of visitors stop by with sweet gifts, flowers, and yummy food. Super yummy food.
We were fortunate enough to have MuMu come stay with us. Boy, was she a HUGE help! She gave me the opportunity to cuddle and rest with you which was exactly what we needed. š
Her staying with us also gave Daddy the freedom to go back to work a few days after you were born which was great…for him and his coworkers!
Grandpa Dan came over quite a bit to hold you and play with Elisa. Sister sure loves her “Tampa”, and I know you will too! We’ve gotta work on your sister’s T/D sounds.

You definitely look like your Daddy and Dan! Enjoy the hair while you’ve got it, Lil Man!
It took your sister a few days to warm up to the idea of having a little brother. She had a nice, therapeutic cry on the couch one afternoon and then she was ready to love on you a little while later.
You had lots of visitors, and I’m so sad I didn’t manage to get a picture of you with everyone! Boo! I did get a few pictures though.
Ella and Sissy came to love on you too!
My sweet, former coworker Hannah brought us by the most delicious chicken chili any of us had ever tasted! So. Good. She also brought you a cute little outfit and a book that is right up my alley! I cannot wait to dive into it!
We’ve taken you a few places since you’ve been home. First, we took you to the suite at the Lincoln Christian HS football game with your Dad’s company. It was a little too loud in there for you, so we slipped out early. š
Your first restaurant experience was a Freddy’s Frozen Custard. We had errands to run on 71st, so it was close-by. Plus your Dad and I are kind of obsessed with their little burgers and custard. Nom. So is your sister by the way. She doesn’t always eat…but when she does it’s covered in ketchup.
We had your first 2 doctor appointments. Dr. B says you are doing fantastic! Getting plenty to eat and already growing!
Your MuMu and I also took you and Elisa to the park on Riverside one morning. The weather was perfect for you and Elisa enjoyed getting to run around for a bit. I forgot to get a picture of you two actually at the park…so the car in the parking lot had to do. Whoops.
Our good friend Erin came over and took some pictures for us just like she did with Elisa. I can’t wait to see them when she is finished! She was kind enough to give us a little preview. š
Other than that, it has been pretty quiet around here with you at home. Just playing with Elisa and loving on you.
Love you so much, Lil Man. Looking forward to many more weeks with you!
Love – Your Momma
