In early November, we took a little mini-6th Anniversary trip to Beaver’s Bend State Park and went on the Talimena Drive on the way back to OKC. It was a short trip, but it was just what we needed!
We drove the kids to Nana & Papa’s house. I don’t think they missed us at all. Not even for a nano second.

It was kind of a crazy drive down to Beaver’s Bend. In true Oklahoma fashion, there was a sudden burst of severe thunderstorms, torrential downpours, and gusty winds on the drive. At one point, our phones started blowing up telling us that we were in a tornado warning. The rain was beating down so hard we could barely see to drive. We drove right along with the storm for what seemed like forever. What are the odds of a tornado warning in November?? Pretty good in Oklahoma!
We rented a little cabin right in Beaver’s Bend. It had a huge back patio that opened up right into the woods. With a patio like that, we had to start off with some DIY Holy Yoga. Other than lots of rain, the temperature/weather was perfect while we were there!

We did some hiking and exploring…found lots of pretty spots to take pictures!

It was a great little trip! Maybe we will go back with the kids one day!
